This is an i2c communication with a built-in PWM driver and a clock. This means that this will be very different from the TLC5940 series. You don't need to constantly send signals to take up your MCU!
It is 5V compatible, which means you can also control it with a 3.3V microcontroller and drive it safely to a 6V output (it is also possible to control the white or blue indicator with a 3.4+ positive voltage)
The 6 address select pin allows you to hang 62 drive boards on a single i2c bus for a total of 992 PWM outputs. That would be a very huge resource.
