در صورتیکه برد را به درستی در نرم افزار آردوینو نصب کرده باشید، بعد از اتصال برد به کامپیوتر، باید در گزینه پورت ها، نام Arduino R4 را مشاهده کنید. در غیر اینصورت، یکبار برنامه را ریستارت کنید. اگر حل نشد، برد به طور کامل و صحیح نصب نشده است. در این حالت، سریال مانیتور شما، قادر به ارتباط با برد نخواهد بود.
